I'm definitely excited about getting a coach with a losing record in his career. I guess a 17-20 career record and a record of 4-8 in 2009 was just too much to pass up.

his dad was famous?
"To be the man, you've got to beat the man."
lmfao at dooley
Ah ESPN changed it. Now it says he's a top canidate.
I am actually not that ****ed about the decision. A heckuva lot better hire than Cutcliffe. He is a Nick Saban disciple and his recruiting coordinator while at LSU bringing in two #1 classes in 2001 and 2003. So if he brings in the right staff I am not all that ****ed about it.
I imagine most all Vol fans will be ****ed and probably quit pulling for the team now
Give the guy a shot and if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out and if it does then most all of those fans will pull out their Vols clothes in a couple of years and jump back on board.
I know some people will also be turned off by his record, especially this year but hell they had a tougher schedule than most Top 25 teams.
Either way I still don't think it is done, ESPN has already retracted the story. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if it isn't him, we have had 4 head coaches tabbed now in 2 days.

Ive seen enough of Duke to know Cutcliffe has done a great job there. Besides, his blue devils actually gave VT a game, unlike Kiffin's squad.
